August was hot, and so were we!

We know you all have been busy with all the back to school fun, and so has The Foundation! So far, we have been able to provide back-to-school staff t-shirts, popsicles and drinks for back-to-school play dates, host a co-sponsored Back-to-School staff breakfast (thank you to Clinebell + Anderson Orthodontics for providing the delicious breakfast sandwiches and coffee!), purchase communication folders, agendas, backpack tags, and car tags for students. We also put together Family Fun Night, were able to get 30 new pairs of headphones for testing needs, ROAR super store rewards,  classroom hallway signs, new flowers for the planters out front, and then provide Curriculum Night dinner for teachers, and parent happy hour appetizers following Curriculum Night.

And that was just August!

Thank You Clinebell & Associates!
We've got more work to do...

While we have been busy and productive, we have so much more planned, but we can't do it alone! We need your help! The Foundation needs to be able to raise the funds to continue to provide for our school. Skedaddle is THE fundraising event of the year! Skedaddle funds ensure we have money for Wonderful Wednesday lunches, free family events like STEM Night, free after school clubs, classroom resources and enrichment, staff holiday and end of year gifts, special events for our students like the Turkey Trot and Valentine’s Day Dance, and so much more! All money raised is held by the Foundation and spent on our school and our kids! Our goal is to raise $40,000, which breaks down to $100 per student. Please create your child’s fundraising page and share it with friends, family, grandparents, and neighbors!

Volunteers Of The Month

Vivian Blom & Rebecca Newcomer

Vivian and Rebecca have spent the past few months securing over $15,000 in sponsorship for our school.  These sponsorships are critical in ensuring we have the funds in our budget to do so many things that are important to our school – providing classroom resources, funding teacher mini-grants, providing holiday food boxes for families in need, ensuring all students receive a lanyard at Award’s Day, and so much more! These partnerships also allow Sagamore to be connected to our community and spread the word about the many great businesses right here in our area!

Wishes Granted

Many of our teachers and staff have created wish lists for their classrooms and offices. These lists are filled with supplies that will help them even better serve our wonderful school and students. Sometimes you can find some great deals on items on these lists, so keep checking back throughout the year!

Information Station

There's quite a bit of information out there! Luckily we've been working diligently (when we say "we"... we mean volunteer David Lomba) on keeping all our information organized and up to date on our Foundation website so you should have everything easily at your finger tips. While you are there - you can also check out our volunteer options!

Help Wanted

Our Annual Movie Night is approaching and we are looking for someone to take on planning this event. Last year's planner is happy to help with logistics, so you will not be entirely on your own! Please email president@sagamorehillsfoundation.org if you are interested!
